How to Sign into Multiple E-mail Accounts at the Same Time in Firefox
Open Multiple E-mail Accounts At Same Time Same Browser
This article has been written for discussing how we can sign into more than one e-mail accounts at the same time in the same browser like Firefox.
Generally, e-mail service providers such as Google (Gmail), Yahoo (Ymail), Hotmail, Rediffmail, Windows Live etc. do not allow us to sign into multiple e-mail accounts (with same domain) at the same time in the same browser. If you have different e-mail ids with same domain and you want to check your mail inbox i.e., you want sign into your different e-mail accounts at the same time, then you need different browsers at the same time for different e-mail accounts. Say you have ten different e-mail ids with same domain that means you have to need ten different browsers to sign into ten different accounts at the same time. But to install a lot of browsers at your computer is not healthy. This may be cause of hamper performance for your computer.
So better you use same browser and open your multiple e-mail accounts (with same domain) at the same time.
Though by using "Gmail E-mail Delegation feature" you can sign into your all Gmail accounts to one Gmail account. But other e-mail service providers like Yahoo, Hotmail, Rediffmail, Windows Live etc. do not give you such feature. After all, your problem is not solved completely. Here I am going to give the solution for opening multiple e-mail accounts ( With same domain ) at the same time in Firefox.
You are must thinking that it is very easy just to open multiple Firefox windows and to sign into different e-mail accounts (with same domain). But your thinking will not works. Because all the Firefox Windows are opened with same default profile and therefore e-mail service providers will not allow you to sign into you multiple e-mail accounts (with same domain). So, you have to open multiple Firefox windows with different profiles, then you can sign into your multiple e-mail accounts in Firefox without facing any problem. Now I will discuss the whole process through step by step:
How to make a new Firefox profile:
You have to follow the instructions below to make a new profile in Firefox:
(i) Click the "Start" button and type "Run" in the search box and hit "Enter" on your keyboard. OR, Click "Windows+R" (simultaneously) on your keyboard.
(ii) A dialog window will be appeared with a search box. In the search box you need to type the command below according to the case and hit "enter" on your keyboard.
For Windows XP:
"C\Program files\Mozilla Firefox\Firefox.exe" -no-remote -P Firefox-profile1
For Windows 7:
"C\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\
firerfox.exe" -no-remote -P Firefox-profile1
[Before execution of the command you should make sure that all the Firefox tabs are closed]
You will see a new window of the Firefox is opened with the welcome tab. Now like this you have to make as many profiles as your need to sign into multiple e-mail accounts ( with same domain) in Firefox. You just to need to change the profile name such as Firefox-profile1, Firefox-profile2, Firefox-profile3 and so on. You have to sign into your different e-mail accounts as:
example1@rediffmail.com with default Firefox-profile, example2@rediffmail.com with Firefox-profile1, example3@rediffmail.com with Firefox-profile2 and so on.
You can also make short-cuts to open different Firefox profiles.
How to make short-cuts to open different Firefox profiles:
If you want to run the different Firefox profiles from the short-cuts, then it will be better than executing the "Run" command. Below steps can help you to create a shortcut on your desktop:
(i) On the desktop click right button of the mouse and then click on "New" and then click on "Shortcut".
(ii) A new dialog window will be appeared. Now copy and paste the following line at the "Create shortcut" dialog window and then click on "Next" .
For Windows XP:
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Firefox.exe" -no-remote -P Firefox-profile1
For windows 7:
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Firefox.exe" -no-remote -P Firefox-profile1
Now you have to type a suitable name for this shortcut and hit "Enter" on your keyboard. A shortcut icon will be appeared on your desktop. Now you can open such Firefox profile by clicking the shortcut icon instead of executing the "Run" command.
