The Microsoft Windows 10 have arrived. And almost everybody loved the new iteration of the operating system from Microsoft corporation. It is arguably the the best operating ever made by the software company based in Microsoft Redmond Campus,Redmond, Washington, United States of America (U.S.A.) founded by William Bill Gates or most commonly knows as Bill Gates and Paul Allen on April 4, 1975 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, also in the United States of America (U.S.A.). Microsoft Windows 10 was released on July 15, 2015 and generally available on July 29, 2015 it is the mostly anticipated software release of the year 2015.

I have come to use this version of Microsoft Windows just last month, almost 7 months after it was released. The start menu have made it's comeback, and the general public is rejoicing for it's come back in the Windows world because the predecessor of Microsoft Windows 10 is not that much accepted or loved by the general public. When I was using this version of Windows I have come to notice that you cannot easily change your username or user account name in this edition of Windows.

I have tried to search and look to the user accounts settings but I couldn't find the settings wherein you can change your username easily.

For a general or normal user, or if you are not an IT type of person then you will be frustrated, but I also noticed that some tutorials available in the internet  have a settings named "Manage my Microsoft Account". I do believe that this settings is only available if you have signed-in with a Microsoft account. I haven't signed-in in my Windows 10 that's why I can't see the settings "Manage my Microsoft Account". But suddenly something have popped-up in my mind that I do actually can change my username or user account name on my Windows machine if the "Advance User Accounts Control Panel" is still available in this edition of Windows. I tried of type "netplwiz" in my search bar and voila it worked!

Feeling relieved, I immediately change my user name or user account name using this control panel. So here we go, below are the simple steps on how you can change your username or user account in Microsoft Windows 10.

Step 1: Click "Search the web and Windows" located on your task bar then type "netplwiz" then press of hit enter then the "User Accounts" window will appear.

Step 2: At the "User Accounts" click the user account that you want to change then click "Properties" then you can now change your user account name.

Step 3: After you have changed the user account you just have to "Restart" your computer for the changes to take effect.
